im no scientist, but when i was a kid you could get magnets to repel from one and another( opposite poles im thinking) so if thats the case wont both poles cancel each other out when their appex has been reached. if we could charge magnets with specific poles then this would be possible...no?

It doesn't work because you've got the stator and the rotory magnets atracting each other.

At 0:32, are the stator magnets positioned to attract the rotor mags? Shouldn't it be the other way 'round, like repelling? Or, in this setup, both ways will not work?

line 3 or more of these side by side connected to the same axle.. set them offset to each other. the force of the other wheels will overcome the cogging of the one. the more you set side by side the smoother it will run.

you need a MAGNETIC FIELD VIEWER lens to see your cloging interactions,
try remove all but 3-4 stator magnets sheild them and use the MAGNETIC FIELD VIEWER to help you under stand theangles and complex interaction being created
I think it will spin more freely and for longer duration if you will remove all magnets and substitute compressed human feces modules for magnets. This will be a more "Brown" solution. Green is out. Brown is the new Green.
