Tchaikovsky: Best composer who ever lived. Karajan: Best conductor who ever lived. BPO: #1 orchestra in the world. Put those 3 together, and you get something purely amazing...........

Earthatic, thanks so much for these videos of the great maestro Karajan. This man was the personification of music who opened the gates of heaven to us mere mortals. His magnificent Berlin Philharmonic was but one of many orchestras he conducted but they all produced exceptional sound under his direction. Watching these videos makes me glad to be alive. Again, many thanks and happy listening.

The beginning of the Tchaïkowsky Concerto is played by Kissin and the end of the 3rd Movement
by Alexis Weissenberg. I think they deserve to be named even if it's an hommage to Karajan, don't you agree?
