  • this looks like UM, am i right? beautiful playing

  • @gingervirtuoso The place is Auditorio Blas Galindo, in México city, it's in a piano competition.

  • Yes, you play beautifully ...but...I think you play too much rubato. Poulenc specifically wrote "sans rubato" on this score and if you study Poulenc's style more closely you'll notice why. It's easy though to give in to rubato playing with this piece, but "en dehors" is not the same!

Nevertheless you seem an outstanding pianist so I hope you'll forgive me my remarks.

  • I forgive you

  • Magnificas; gracias. You lend an immediate appeal to this piece in the way it is presented. Nice accoustics in this room. Was it a competition ?

  • thanks; yes, it was a little competition in my music school in México.

  • This piece is wonderful! I've never heard it before, but now I want to hear it over and over! This interpretation is also excellent.

I don't know whether I should be: happy because I have discovered an extremely beautiful piece, or sad because I've been missing out all these years.

  • that last chord makes me melt....

  • This is a lovely interpretation, and how wonderful that you memorized it! (I'm currently trying to memorize it myself, and just when I think I have it, it slips away from me!)

  • Masterful, delightful performance. What beautiful music. You have a lovely, singing tone. I really enjoyed this.

  • @supersmashmike45 oh well it looked very similar to the university of miami concert hall :)

  • @licoricestic i didnt hear anything? maybe its cause i hadnt heard this song before

  • @licoricestic "a nick in the jewel", as they say, but the rest is beautiful

  • i think it sounds beautiful with rubato.

  • I've never heard this, so I LOVE what this pianist does to the piece. And yes, great acoustics! Makes for a great recording.
