O'Neill Escort - Part 1

For this part of the Shore Leave level of Crysis Warhead, we'll have to escort O'Neill through numerous enemy positions and eventually to the VTOL landing zone. I'm playing on Delta difficulty setting which means no driver controlled gun and hence it's gonna be a lot of stop-and-go. The best thing to do when playing this part on Delta is to stop well before each major enemy position and then just liberally pepper them with APC fire to soften them up before you attempt to approach and/or drive by.

And you can generally ignore O'Neill's endless whining about taking damage, hurry up, can't hold out much longer, etc. I've replayed this mission dozens of times and I've only seen O'Neill die once so he can pretty much take care of himself. You'd be better off to simply look out for number one. Don't worry if he gets too far ahead. Your main personal objectives should be to simply keep your vehicle in good shape and, of course, to survive.

There are some replacement vehicles to be had partway through and make sure you grab a missile launcher along the way to take down an enemy chopper when you get to a big enemy base about halfway in. You'll also want to explore the top of the guard tower at that big base for a Precision Rifle which has the Sniper Scope attachment (very valuable).

Thanks for watching and if you enjoyed the video, don't forget to give it a thumbs up and add it to your favorites too. Both these help promote my videos.

  • slack just throwing you a question your way, have you played the first MGS (Metal Gear Solid) on the playstion and as stealth game what did you think of it

  • @Kaimalice

Yes I played it. Good game.

  • hey slack, i was wondering does playing crysis require you to get in the game, you know like GET ABOSRBED into it? cna casual gamers like my dad play it?

  • @slingtard

Probably not. Even normal difficulty requires a certain level of immersion in order to survive. You gotta get into it.

  • Hey Slack! Great video! I just had a quick question.

Which game do you prefer? Crysis or Crysis Warhead? I plan to get one or the other, but I can't seem to decide. So, which game would give me more bang for my buck?

  • @FierceGenesis

Crysis is much better and more bang for your buck. But you should be able to get both in a combo pack called Crysis Maximum Edition for about $20-$30.

  • Thanks, Slack...Now I need to find my Crysis/War Head install disks.

  • Itchy fun parts!

  • Hey Slack! what about Crysis2? Cause I thought you're gonna make a walkthrough for that, since you finished Crysis1... If you do that would be fucking awesome!

  • This game looks great, I just don't like this invisible, superfast running thing. :-P

  • personally i like to exit the vehicle right at the beginning and do the mission by foot. it takes longer, but it's (in my opinion) more efficient on delta, especially because i think that the criteria for wether o'neill dies or not is actually how much damage your vehicle receive (the koreans don't even shoot at him!)
