The lyrics are "they raised our wages five cents more, but they raised them a dime at the company store, hard times Cotton Mill girls, hard times everywhere". Those lyrics are not included in the Spain Brothers CD that has this song, but Liam always sings them when he does it live. I LOVE this song!!
