Ledger Live: Meadowlands Xanadu - A boon or boondoggle?

Ledger Live for Thursday April 2nd, 2009 - Ledger Live with Brian Donohue. On today's show: Once touted as a key economic engine for North Jersey, the Meadowlands Xanadu project is on the rocks - retail tenants are balking, the opening has been delayed, a key lender has defaulted and construction has all but stopped. Now, Senate President Richard Codey has jokingly made a proposal: scrap the whole thing - indoor ski slope and all - and turn it into a piece of modern art. George Zoffinger, former Chief Executive of the New Jersey Sports and Exposition and a driving force behind Xanadu, counters that with unemployment on the rise, New Jersey needs Xanadu more than ever. When the economy recovers, the complex will open, he says. And once it does, New Jersey will have a true gem on its hands.

NJ.Com showed a drawing of the elite, both black and white folk shopping and cavorting in the near future at Xanadu. In reality, it'll turn out like the Jersey Gardens Mall. Full of fat-assed Puerto Ricans and Dominicans. Ignorant douchebags. The same cretins that go to 6 Flags in Jackson.

Your a fucking bad idea. Xanadu is going to flourish, if you'v heard what is planned for it you'll realize it will really bring some much needed money into NJ as well as bringing tourists into it. Also, Meadowlands Stadium is great, along with iZod, with the Meadowlands i bet it will bring a lot of money. Plus the biggest Ferris wheel in North America is being built here by Pepsi.
