This is my secound Coilgun named MCR900-5, its full portable and has got a shorter charging time than the first model. Although the capacitators of the first coilgun can store more than a two times bigger amount of energy, this one has got a great pentration power.

ok kan anyone help me i have these caps form a camrea that claim to be 80joules but if dat gun in dis vid is 100joules theres is something seriously wrong cause i dont get even nearly that much power so kan anyone explain and/or post a link were i kan get some of the caps that are like da ones in dis vid

All that effort and time, to make this monster looking gun, and thats all it can put out? :(
I would have tested a smaller prototype at that voltage, then when moving onto a bigger project like that, make one with at least a 1000v capacitor :)
That would pack a decent punch!
