Here are a pair of silent-era comedies featuring Oliver Hardy in the days before he teamed up with Stan Laurel. First is the final few minutes of "The Decorator" (1920), starring Ollie and Jimmy Aubrey. Next up is "Enough to Do," also known as "Wandering Papas" (1926). It's a Hal Roach short featuring Clyde Cook (one of the original Keystone Kops). Ollie appears in a small role as a foreman. This comedy was directed by none other than Stan Laurel! (Unfortunately, Stan doesn't appear in the film.) Enjoy!

  • The first 3 minutes of this film is NOT "The Decorator". It is in fact the end of another Hardy short called "Stick Around" from 1924.

  • Hi, can you tell me how you got hold of a print of "The Decorator" please? I have 52 solo films of Hardy and that is not one of them so would be extremely interested in knowing how to get a copy.

    Many thanks.
