Whirlpool Flex Vane Agitator Replacement

I replaced the "corkscrew" agitator version in my 2003 Whirlpool Gold TOL topload washer with a funky looking flex vane. The flex vane certainly provides more splashy "entertainment", but rollover on bulky items is non-existant. But on smaller loads, nice to watch and works well. I am washing on medium, Cheer detergent, warm water, and full agitation...check out all those SUDS!

@bnweeks2 - It had the correct amount of Cheer detergent...on medium, those fins on the side of the agitator really whip up a storm!

LOL we had this same style agitator on our old whirlpool the entire top part of the agitator comes out and theres a liint filter on the inside of the bottom. After a while the agitator would come off by itself during the wash cycle keep that in mind since it just pulls right up

@craziestbxboy . Yeah, the lint filter is near. I haven't had any problems with it flying off...seems pretty snug still. It doesn't get much use. Neat to watch though. I still have the original in case this one goes belly up.

@DELFO2907 This agitator works fine for Medium loads and lots of different clothes. But as you can see, struggles on large loads. If I had to choose one, I would choose the corkscrew type as a perm agitator. I like this one because it's more fun to watch...and on medium loads splashes around like a kid in a bathtub. lol

Ha! It's actually no more aggressive than the regular agitator, just looks that way from all of the splashing on that load size is on medium.
