The Standard Form of a Linear Equation is
Ax + By = C
A, B, and C can be any integer number. That is they may be any positive or negative whole number or zero.
The Slope Intercept form of a Linear Equation is
y = mx + b
Here m and b can be any real number, positive, negative, fraction, zero. It is necessary that m is expressed in the form of a fraction. The numbers m and b have special meanings:
m = slope
b = y - intercept
To go from one form to the other, we solve the standard form for y using our basic four functions and their opposite function: addition and subtraction are opposites, multiplication and division are opposites.

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH!

  • thank you.

  • Thanks for the video... What do I do when the equation is Ax+By+c=0 though?

  • @OMGsoFUNNY1 dirty

  • Thank you VERY much! I liked your way of showing how u get rid of 2x and put it on the other side. Your way is so clear, on the other hand my teacher does it in such a way, you can do it at first, but then later get confused about how the term changes into negative or positive, despite being one of the smartest math students in your class!

  • @uwishiwish lmfao!!!hahaha why?

  • THIS MAY SOUND SEXIST BUT I LEARN BETTER FROM GUY TEACHERS THAN GIRL TEACHERS ESPECIALLY THE OLDER GUYS. TAKE IT HOWEVER YOU WANT

  • yaa i agree i learn alot more of the internet my teacher doesn't explain the lesson well she just gives us study guides and stuff expecting us to getit on are own
