Our family used to summer at Lake Dunmore, VT, gathering around my great grandmother, "Aunt Jennie" Rickert, who ran a popular eating establishment there called "Aunt Jennie's Tea House" These movie clips are all I have to remember her by.
Aunt Jennie takes her first (and only) flight over Lake Dunmore. Later, both feet firmly on the ground, she invites her family into the tea house for a good homecooked meal.
An absolute gem of a video. I spent some time working for Keewayin on Lake Dunmore in my college days so have sailed and canoed the lake, but haven't seen any aerial video footage before let alone anything this old. Very very special.

This film is wonderful. I live just a few minutes away from where Aunt Jennie's restaurant was. It's so great to see moving images of what the area was like then.
You might consider contacting the Vermont Historical Society. They may be willing to digitize your original film so they can have a copy. It really should be preserved for future generations. Moving images of rural Vermont from this time period are very rare.
Thanks for sharing it! (nice addition of the audio too!)
