  • well, your comment shows that i'm not the only one with these views and that's pretty satisfying. Thanks for the awesome compliment. :D :D :D

  • Wow Maria that video was really good...how'd you learn to do all your video stuff?! using critical thinking haha jk. i've been checking out your channel today and i love it. PS it's your old roomie steph!

  • Hahaha!! STEPH!! What a nice surprise!! Your comment cracked me up. Hahahaha!

  • Yeah to Critical thinking! Yeah to forward thinking.

  • AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! OMG I love this video and I LOVE THIS girl. Awesome video. You seem like a spokeswoman for critical thinking... maybe you should be the spokeswoman for humanity.

  • Freeken University of Phoenix making me waste 2:35 of my live (witch I will never get back to hear this garbage from someone who gets and trust everything that the main stream media tells them.

    I want my 2:35 back

  • While I believe in evolution, it is not a fact, it is a theory. And challenging societally presented "facts" such as this is exactly what critical thinking is... If Galileo and Copernicus hadn't challenged the "fact" that the earth was the centre of the universe, we might still be believing that the sun goes around the earth.

If someone disagrees with you politically (e.g. gay marriage), it does not mean they are not thinking critically...

  • Critical thinking is questioning everything? but I can only think critically if I accept FACTS like Evolution, climate change and gay marriage? I think you've clearly missed the point of your own video. One CANNOT "think critically" until they begin to seek answers for themselves rather than just take your word for it.

  • ......is this a joke, critical thinking is..... no this is philosophy, for example woman's rights or equal rights.... this isn't right by any definition, this is moral philosophy, critical thinking is retards looking back....

  • you are not a critical thinker you are just repeating the main concerns of the media.

ex. small pox vaccines is nothing more than pus from a cow. it has no value # research

  • @ancientpho Even the finding that einstein might have been wrong and neutrinos can travel faster than light is a weak sense wrong. We know this because even if confirmed neutrinos are a small part of our everyday lives. We haven't had technologies dependent on neutrinos not being able to travel faster than light. We havn't lots of scientific observations that completely contradict it. So many non-neutrino things DO follow einsteins prediction. In other words he was maybe wrong in the WEAK sense.

  • @ancientpho A trivial find written on fox news or msnbc science section of a bleeding edge genetic flaw research project, that has little impact on the world at large, has only been tested for predictions within that one lab etc is however very possible to be wrong in the strong sense.

  • @ancientpho If you use the details of how evolution works to predict where to find fossils and what types they are likely to be and how they migrated across the earths surface and time, then you test that prediction by digging for them and finding them within the probabillities you predicted it's sort of hard to argue that we'll suddenly find out it's all wrong in the strong sense. How? What were the reasons predictions worked? No evolution opponents seems to be even aware of these questions.

  • @ancientpho One reason why einstein didn't prove it wrong in the strong sense is because F=ma had already been used to calculate thousands of things which if it was COMPLETELY OFF would not have worked. Constructions would have failed etc. Such a frequently applied theory how can it suddenly be wrong? Roundness of earth same thing it can be proven to be abit off but previous observations still existed and cannot be undone.

Fossils following predictable patterns making evolutionary sense also.

  • @ancientpho There are doubts. Just not among majority of biologists. Also people have a tendency to not relize that old scientific discoveries are hardly 'wrong' in the strong sense because recent trivial measurements are often reported too early. Example Newtons law F=ma is proven by einstein to be F=ma/( 1-(v^2/c^2)) Which means that if under close to light speed the answers are different but if not you'll get for instance F=3.0 with newton and F=3.0000000000454 with einstein. Weak sense wrong
