How is the recoil on the .44 Magnum version? Obviously it will be greater than most "normal" handguns, but is it controllable for the average shooter? (Love your videos, by the way. You have a lot of really neat firearms!!)

@TheArmedGuitarist the weight of it and the grip helps but most people ive let shoot it only wanted to fire a cylinder or two worth and then they said they were done and half of them complained of it hurting their hand. me, i can go through a 50 round box and love every second of it.

back packing i would go with the alaskan , but the 460 s&w 8 inch is nice shoots 454 45 and 460 , and you get the beach ball flame , for just about 300 bucks more

I had a S&W m29 that was a sweet hand cannon, I loved that gun. but to have a snub-nosed .44 mag would be beyond compare. It deffinatly would be worth the 8 bills it would take to pay for it.........and it would be the perfect wheel gun for ccw. The thugs get a glimpse of that they might laugh and keep coming but after that first shot and they see one of there own flying through the air like he got hit by a truck, the battle is over. Very Impressive gun.

Best defensive big bore revolver! This definitely can stop a charging bear for sure and you know it! LOL I have the Alaskan .454 very expensive to shoot. Cost me about $45 for a 20 round box 360gr. from Buffalo Bore. A lot cheaper to practice with .45LC. I do not recommend this gun and caliber to young adults and females in the 130lb and under weight. If you do get this gun, start out practicing with the .45LC caliber in low grain and move up. WARNING: THIS IS A VERY STRONG GUN. NOT FOR KIDS.
