Originally produced two years ago as "One Minute to Nine," this documentary finally arrives at HBO with a somewhat more in-your-face title -- and, in a stark, spare way that has come to characterize the pay channel, delivers a pretty bracing wallop. A harrowing portrait of domestic abuse, the project draws heavily on video shot by the dead abuser, as his wife, Wendy Maldonado, spends her final days of freedom before going to jail for his murder. The net result is every bit as chilling and depressing as one might expect. Includes captions for the hearing impaired.

Randy is a fucken soldier man .. killing his psychopath father with his mother.. it takes alot to come to that point ..WOW ..... fucked up life Wendy and Randy had .. I feel so bad for them man .. Randy did it for the well being of his three younger brothers though so I thinks it's justifiable.. Wendy also did it for the same reason..

I think one of the worst things is the way she talks about everything.. She explains every situation in a light manner. To us its shocking to hear the details, but to her, having to endure this every day for years, it almost became engraved in her mind that it was a normal aspect of life she just had to deal with.. No emotion, just straight forward story telling as if it were a typical thing. That alone portrays greater psychological damage compared to a person who got emotional about it..

who would raise such a monster of a man? More than likely his family is truly fucked up. that man she was married to was not right. You could see by looking at his fucking eyes from the old videos that he was not right. The US justice system is messed up.

@MrSatanStalker666 Not necessarily. Sometimes victims of trauma don't react how we think they should, ie they smile while talking about horrible things. It doesn't mean they've grown callous, it is common for people who've been so traumatized to become so disassociated from their trauma it's as if they're talking about someone else.
