sudo add-apt-repository ppa:falk-t-j/qtsixa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install qtsixa

(When required to enter "Y" put in "Yes")

Tutorial on how to connect a PS3 controller to Ubuntu 11.04 and newer. PS3 controller will work with some Ubuntu games and most emulators. I've tested it on 11.04 and 11.10.

  • @Jodabro Its works fine wired

  • I came here looking for an answer to my issue of the controller pairing up. Looks like you ran into the exact same issue. Not just you.

  • @volcomstone2515 Sorry for the delay, the updated code is in the description.

  • @Zogato I think there something wrong with my laptops Bluetooth.

    Heres the new code:

    sudo add-apt-repository ppa:falk-t-j/qtsixa

    sudo apt-get update

    sudo apt-get install qtsixa

(When required to enter "Y" put in "Yes")

  • None of your steps work nor do you ever show the ps3 controller working on Ubuntu 11.04. You demonstrate the controller pairing with the computer but it keeps on TRYING to pair.

  • unable to locate package qtsixa
