A Let's Play Test Video for Outpost 2: Divided Destiny

This is just a test of a potential game I'd like to try LP'ing some day. Probably not right away, considering it would be 200+ videos long, and the first ~30 would be extraordinarily dull...

I forgot to turn recording for the cursor back on, so when I point to stuff, it's a bit difficult, but it doesn't really matter too much, since this is just a small test.

Anyway, if you haven't heard, Zwobot Jones has a forum (free forum, not a pay forum like the SA LP forum is) set up for LP'ers at http://www.letsplayforum.com/

Edit: Ugh. Well, it isn't quite as bad as I expected. It may look a bit better on Google Video's larger viewer, but... I don't know.

Unfortunately, the text is impossible to read on the video... While it isn't critical, it makes the game a bit nicer and easier, plus sometimes it offers little hints and clues.

I suppose it is just as well. I may do this game at a later date, and put it on Google Video (I can do each scenario in the game in one video then, as well, instead of cutting it down. That will help a lot.)

Oh, well. I'll just let this video stand, and leave it as a teaser for a potential future game (much later in the future).

Modded? Well, as I said (or I think I said), I used cheat codes for it.

There are three cheat codes you can use in the game, and after doing pretty much everything one can do in the game and doing a quick run to refresh my memory of it, I figured playing with the cheats in this case wouldn't do too much to retract from the game.

As well, I wanted to push the amount of action up a bit, without going into the big stages, to test lag. I figured having ridiculous firing rates would help with that.

What is "totally gay"?

The cheats? I assure you, if I play this game, I wouldn't play it with the cheats.

The video quality? Yes, I agree, it is quite poor. Probably the biggest reason I won't be playing it, since YouTube doesn't have a better-quality video option.

The game itself? It's an excellent game. It has its quirks, but it is a very fun game, nevertheless.

My Let's Play capabilities? I wouldn't say they are "gay" so much as not yet refined.

I have this game. It defines multi-tasking. I first heard of this game when my father gave me 3D-Ultra Pinball: Creep Night with some demos added to it (including Outpost 2). When I first played it, I couldn't understand what to do, so I bought the full version and then finally got to understand how to play it and became addicted to it. Today, I haven't been playing it much, but I wish there was an Outpost 3 officially made by Sierra.

The game isn't a "war simulation" so to speak. It's more of a colony game with combat situations. You don't necessary need to fight but it is needed if you want to live :P

I still play this game today.

Based on the fact this was posted 3 years ago, I'm guessing you decided not to do a Let's Play of it.

the combat looks like ass. BTW- far in the future, on another planet with centuries now of space / air powered flight, and mankind is reduced to driving tanks towards defensive...towers. Ridiculous.

Um, have you tried increasing game speed...
