Interesting. Stimuli (peanut) extends the period to which the bird enjoys resting like that. Mine does it for a period of time but not for 2.5 minutes while enjoying a snack like a lazy bum.

Also, why Jade? Sounds feminine tbh, even though the males are a bit more like that. And jade = green. Either way you have a cool little man there

3rd year.....cool.....what are you studying? most people dont like the eclectus special food requirements, but i think its a time to bond with him....i feel it helps them become closer to you....and its funny the things they do.....making the food is easy.....going away for spring break? i took the family out to nc in 06......were you born in 88? wow....88 was a great year.....as you can tell i am a little loopy at night

I am sure that you know this but that is how I got all my birds ( and dogs and cats)....people unable to dedicate to animals. I like it out in NC and go there often.

More balance....... I think that if you interact with her she will grow close. How old are you? Just wondering because if your life is not stable at the moment or if you are unable to care for them in any portion (medical, care and cleaning, social and interaction) also if you live alone and have to go out of town or such you need a person that you can trust and knows birds.

The balance of the other one.....

I turn on the Noggin channel for him during the day when he is alone. He is out of the cage whenever we are home and sits with us. He knows all our names and creates sentences with correct usage. His favorite game is to play peek a boo with a picture. He peeks out behind a picture and says peek a boo then tucks behind the picture and laughs.

How did I teach him.......to be honest he doesn't let everyone do it. Everyone in my family can hold him that way but when I take him in he squalks like crazy. I think that he justs has a good bond with us. What birds have you had before?

ok so i think my reply didnt post so here it goes again lol yeah he doesnt look skinny or anything just small but then that could be how he is laying lol how did you teach him that? and its actually Winston-Salem in NC and also the name of the highschool i went to so im where its nice and warm lol yeah ill have to find a good avian vet when i get my ekkie they are hard to find here in NC

thanks....his vet is scott mcdonald near chicago and he says his weight is good. ive seen vos males that are much bigger than him.....i think that weight is critical to good health for them....i am near chicago.....which salem are you from....assuming its the city.....
