low multi means setting the multiplier, which is normally at 9x, to 8x or even 7x and increasing the front side bus speed to match.
I have my e6600 at 3.1 Ghz on the stock intel cooler and with speedfan controlling the cpu fan to 100% and good airflow through my case I have idles that avg 27 celcius idle and 54 celcius load.

whats low multi? ive got a foxconn mother board and it has this overclock tool. i got mine at 2.7 now. but i got standard intel cooling fan so you reckon i could push it to 3ghz?
boldswede 3 years ago
low multi should hit at least 3.0-3.2 with good cooling and 60c under 100 percent load in prime95.

do you mean 60c idling? or when playing a game or something? How far can i push mine. i got a e6600 and 2 gig of ram 800mhz fsb.
