Federal State Bavaria29-year-old Emilia Dybala from Lubartów in Poland is in Germany to learn German. Shes doing so with a grant from the Goethe Institute and is spending two weeks in each of the cities Hamburg and Munich. We met her in Munich and visited the park around Nymphenburg Palace, went through the rooms of the Munich Residence, once the city palace of the Bavarian monarchs, and saw Munich from above: from the bell tower of the St. Peter's Church.

  • @occhiodaquila69 i think it's all in ur head. im from munich and im half asian. i never get the looks ur referring to. i dont know when u were last in munich. im a 90's baby so maybe i missed the "neonazi days" ur describing but if you go there now ur sure to find a very diverse and for the most part friendly crowd of people... a lot of turks, arabs, persians, africans, asians, and an increasing number of latin americans.. northern munich (hasensbergl) is really the only bad place i can think of

  • @dannytuason i'm actually from munich (i live in the usa now) but in my opinion munich is actually a bit less enjoyable around oktoberfest because it's just a bunch of tourists who can't drink a bavarian sized serving of beer so they're also just drunkenly tripping around... i always enjoy the fussgangerzone to start off.. and if you look a bit past that you can find some really interesting places

  • i heard some bavarian dialect when those dude on ice were talking

  • Wow She recieved a grant to study? I am going to look that up!. I am going to Austria in the Summer. But I would love to go back to Germany to study the Language and do some singing!

  • I also travel quite often...and I was in Munchen last month. I am Filipino. In my experience the people in Munich were quite nice and polite. Our waitress (we stayed only a day and a half) was so nice and friendly we gave her a 30% tip.

Just to compare...the people in Amsterdam were so very nice too...very very friendly...

the only negative thing in my opinion regarding Munich is...and it's possible I am wrong here...my impression is it's good to visit during Oktoberfest...and nothing else.

  • I travelled and lived all around the world, but I've never seen such evil, ugly, false, asocial and sulky people like here in München. I really loathe this town and really hate their residents.

People staring at you in the U-Bahn or on the road with such an ugly angry face with no reason; waiters and waitresses so rude (like peasants) and Impolite: all different from Dutch (I am half Dutch) and Scandinavians who are instead really friendly.

München: a town where you can still smell the nazism!

  • Great VIdeo, I will be visiting munich this august!, also what is the name of the song at 2:57? Danke Mein Freund!
