In my experience the average arcade owner was uneducated blue collar white trash. In my ideal world, arcade game owners would be game programmers and graphic artists and user interface designers. Very simple, stupid people they were.
@nightowl8936 Ads for coin op games always target arcade owners who want to maximumize profit. Without that, the arcades close and no more games to play. I knew this even as a kid growing up in the 80's.
I've always loved the Williams pinball machines, but hearing this grandstanding melodramatic piece with its emphasis on profits takes away from the creativity of the game and the fun aspect of having an arcade at all. I like to think that arcade owners loved pinballs and videogames for what they were and not just for making money.
I had the square red promotional record when I was a kid. I dont even remember where I got it but I wish I still had it. My grandparents werent too thrilled when I played it.
November 1979. THE WINTER OF DISCONTENT!!! Strikes, inflation, recession. Maybe Gorgar helped people get through it! One of the nicest machines ever, great fun.

If I didn't know any better, I'd say the narrator is also the voice of "The Entabulator" demonstration. Or at least an early version of it.

@Atomicskull Is that John Facenda, the guy who used to narrate the Super Bowl highlights?
