The Oreck XL Air Purifier completely regenerates the air in a 30'x 30' room every hour. The Oreck XL Professional Air Purifier will also capture and destroy bacteria, mold, viruses, and fungi, as well as remove pet hair, pet dander, dust mites, and common household dust and allergens.

  • i bought one of these 2 weeks ago and I hate it. It REEKS of plastic while running....or more accurate....it stinks like when you leave the cap off a Magic Marker. It stinks so much it gives me a headache. I am afraid the stench might harm my cat. I have talked to other people who bought it and they say the same thing. I am so dissapointed, I thought Oreck made good stuff.

  • @myNEONCITY Oh and I forgot to mention that another complaint was that people had to buy carbon pads from the Oreck company to mask the odors that the Oreck air filtration devices make...

  • @myNEONCITY I've seen way too many reviews on some of the news networks claiming that the product is the absolute worst on the market. On top of that, I'm a biophysics student and I have taken many physics classes, I guessed that the 'Truman Cell' technology worked poorly considering it uses static electricity to give the dust particles a charge, and sure enough the first complaint turned out to be that the dust barely sticks to the filter if at all.

  • @eBiology thats your choice but without a solid reason i cant take it seriously.

  • @myNEONCITY I would still never buy this piece of garbage product =D

  • @eBiology this model shown doesnt make any claim to that, but the new ones do. And to help reduce the already safe ozone levels, the new ones have a permanent catalytic oxygenator.

  • Get it Overstock

  • Get the Ionic Pro PurePro Professional Air Purifier

  • Funny because tests showed that this unit actually produces ozone (O3) which is a respiratory irritant, despite claims that the unit removes the latter.

  • As an XL owner, I would not recommend this device at all. Oreck used a cheap sleeve bearing on their blower to save a buck, which is prone to wear out quickly, instead of a quality bearing. The motor will start to squeal, then quits. Oreck misrepresents that this is a quality unit--it isn't. I've gone through two blowers already at $200 a pop.
