the music is from Sam Spence. I have seen each Super Bowl highlight about 30-40 times. I first seen them when i was 10 ( Jan of 1982) before SB 17. Espn would show them in order from like 6 am till around 3 or 4, so i would watch them all till the newest would come on and that year it SB 16. Also found out in that '83 season they would plat some SB's during the week heading up to the SB. One year i got a VCR tape in '84 xmas to tape the SB highlights in which i still have to this day.
3:40...maybe be his best work. "They could fence and parry, to protect their lead. Or they could attack...to destroy and demolish". People wonder why the NFL>all. It's because of the Sabol's masterwork and people like John Facenda, Jeff Kaye, Earl Mann, and Harry Kalas who brought a sense of drama and pathos to the sport no one else can match.
