Raga Gurjari Todi (a.k.a. Gujri Todi) is a close variant of Raga Todi, a Raga integral to Hindustani music.
Gurjari Todi is a late morning melody. Tragedy & pathos are the emotions felt in Gurjari Todi.

  • Hi musichanif. Thanks for the comment.

any kind of music utterance, be it vocal or instrumental, demands total involvement of the musician. Playing in a relaxed manner may look visually appealing, but it does not help produce a captivating sound, nor does it help emote or modulate to the fullest. So, comfort is the last thing one must seek as a performer. As far as the D bass flute is concerned, I find it ideal to express my music through, because it is closest to the male vocal pitch.
