Finding this youtube video is awesome. I had no idea other people remembered Dynamite Magazine too! I wish I could find a website that comprehensively describes what bonuses, cards, trinkets, posters, etc came in which issue. I had the 3d King Kong issue, whichever issue it was, and I'd love to set eyes on it again. There were so many of these mags I never owned but would love to know more details about.

"Comic Book Confidential" was my favorite Dynamite feature. Each column profiled a superhero, in the form of a text article giving background info (origin history, trivia about the character, their major enemies and allies, etc.) , along with a sampling of artwork reprinted from their comics. The very first issue of Dynamite profiled Superman, and the Hulk and Batman were featured in the second and third issues. The issue that profiled the Hulk also featured him on that month's pull-out poster.

I was born in '78, but they had this in my elementary school back in the 1980s. In fact, I was surprised that it even existed in the 1970s- I remember it said "For the 80s Kid!" on the cover.

Thanks for this, I remember "Dynamite". On a "...Kotter" note, there was a "Kotter" script reprinted in one of the mags or books around that time, "The Great Debate". One of the smarter kids got into an argument with Barbarino and one of the insult lines was censored. It was rendered as "You're so low, you could play handball against the curb", the original line was "...you could crawl under a pregnant ant!"
Remember when the box of Scholastic books came to class when you ordered?

@gilgamess Yes. When the box was brought into the classroom, we all clapped.
