@TheSdlabs you are totally missing the point. this is not to transform the iPad into a laptop. the only purpose for this is to improve typing. try typing on the iPad for hours, lets see if your fingers & neck don't get tired. with this accessory, it props the iPad in a comfortable angle at the same time providing a nice typing experience. also with this one, you can take the iPad off the keyboard whereas with the macbook, you're stuck with the keyboard. all i'm saying is this gives you option.

will this keyboard case allow any kind of case on just the ipad? Because the back of the Ipad is exposed so if I were to infest in this keyboard case, the back will be exposed and I would still want to protect it...

So it's not possible to put the IPad in the other way (with the back in the case)? This would be handy for trainrides etc.
