Steve McNicholas & Luke Cresswell in their pre-STOMP days with Sue Bradley, Paul Clark, John Helmer & Nick Dwyer as Pookiesnackenburger. Performing live in the early 1980's at the Capital Radio Music Festival held in Londons Docklands. You guess is as good as mine for the song title!

  • Their episode called "Hell bent" is still a classic

  • I saw Pookiesnackenburger play in the Junior Common Room at Windsor Hall, Reading University in 1982 I think. They were the most fun band I'd ever seen, and the drummer was incredibly strong - at one point he put the drum on a friend of mine, went behind him and played the drums using my friends arms as drumsticks! My friend later said that he couldn't do anything about it. The next time I saw the drummer was in the Carling ad, kicking dustbins.

  • I've just found photos of Pookiesnakenburger at The Edinburgh festival in 1983 and remember this song. I think I saw them in London as well, probably at Battersea Arts centre or somewhere similar.

  • hehe, nick - my dad =]
