A celebration in Barnesville, Georgia that dates back to the Emancipation Proclamation of African Americans in the United States. A celebration in Barnesville, Georgia that dates back to the Emancipation Proclamation of African Americans in the United States. Unfortunately, a misapplied title for the celebration spilled over into this small community in middle Georgia for the last decade. We welcome your comments here or at www.TheRootsCriedOut.com.

  • I wish I spoke slave so I could understand you. Too bad I'm a liberated black man; I would love to be able to communicate with you, modern day slave.

  • anybody who watches this video PLEASE understand that it is a very very very small percentage of black folks that show this type of ignorance. sadly it is this type of ignorance that is put on the tv's for the world to see, but these are not how REAL African Americans whose ancesters we killed daily just to abolish such ignorance actually celebrate their lives.

  • @n1ggerpuncher , ha bitch stfu. get off youtube....

  • Why would you celebrate nigga day? Do they know this is not 1952? Or 1682? Or 1712? Or 1836?

Wow. Way to re-enforce NEGATIVE stereotypes.

    Sad.

    Sad.

    Sad.

  • and our people die for a lack of knowledge....it's a shame that this is what our people think is ok......Bill Cosby was right.............

  • Whomever organized this event needs their tail beat! The children need to be taught. Normally, at a "real" festival there is some sort of learning or REVELATION taking place. This is so, so sad. The people, in their ignorance had the gall to be PROUD that the day was deemed NIGGA DAY. Wake up people, we are better than that. We come from KINGS and QUEENS. RISE UP PEOPLE AND FREE YOURSELVES. PARENTS, IT'S TIME TO TEACH YOUR CHILDREN BETTER, QUIT CLOTHING THEM IN THE LATEST GEAR AND INVEST IN THEM

  • It's really sad to see a whole host of people, young African American people proudly self-proclaim a day called "NIGGA DAY" I didn't see anything positive taking place, nothing but a whole lot of fetchin and steppin. It is clear to me that these people need to fire whomever put this thing together. If it is a Black Heritage Arts Festival, it's clear to me that these people don't have a clue about their heritage. i WAS GLAD TO SEE THAT SOME PEOPLE HAD SENSE ENOUGH TO CALL IT BY IT'S RIGHTFUL NAME

  • That's a real coon-a-thon going on there.

  • Look at all these outstanding citizens!

  • bitches hatin on b-12 did you come for 08 my friend
