Child marriages taking place in Rajasthan, India

Child marriage is illegal in India, but since it is a traditional custom in some places, the practice still takes place in some parts of Rajasthan. Children as young as 6 and 8 get married off in some villages here. Parents place garlands of currency notes in Indian Rupees around the necks of the grooms, as the young girls and brides look on.

This is so sad it can be a culture for years and continue the practice. But don't they know thats why there is so much hunger and children suffering in this world. Taking there childhood stealing there innocense to see thats not the way of living. I hope real soon this things stop for the children of the world to be raised in a country of knowing Love, Happiness and protection a place where they can run around with there friends and have no worries. Its so sad because my other is from india and she had to leave home at 13 to work as a nanny, it is a wonderful place but it has so many issues that realy bother me, this is one of them
