For my History of Religion in US class. Instead of a long paper we got to do nifty little projects about religion in Louisiana, picking whatever topic we wanted to cover. I chose Mardi Gras. Since I'm not from Louisiana, I had the stereotypical view it was all about beads, booze, and boobs. Once I went to a few Mardi Gras' and did some research I discovered the religious background and undertones. The sketches are costume and float designs for late 1800's Mardi Gras' and all but one of the pictures is from personal experiences at Mardi Gras. Accompanying the pictures is the song Plastic Jesus as performed by Paul Newman in Cool Hand Luke, with a musical interlude of the same song by The Flaming Lips.

  • Sorry for the crazyness in the first few seconds. I dunno how to fix stuff and I'm definitely not good at editing. I used iMovie for the first time and just kinda went with it.
