Hey all you Trekkies, the new Star Trek trailer is here and with each new trailer we see a little bit more and from what we see, this movie is going to rock. This new trailer, I think, is the best one yet.

I dont do the whole Star Trek Star Wars thing but this is on FX right now and im sold.. This movie so far it has like 35 minutes left to go and I am all in, its great, im glad i gave it a chance.. (feb 14,2012)

@sbugiardo "Evil character is evil" because he wasn't really the main conflict of the story, the strife between Kirk, himself, and Spock was. Evil character man was just a focal point of the action. Way too many defy probability physics blah blah welcome to the industry.

The one thing I will agree with you on is the Romulans look pretty Middle Eastern compared to the defacto Romulan appearance.

@sbugiardo Ignorant post is ignorant? You expect to have development for 7 different characters plus villain and crew, have backstory, plot, crisis, climax & resolution in ~2 hours. Clearly biased by your nostalgia of the original series which, by anyone's modern standards, was pretty bad. By your own methods every other movie or episode has "all characters very shallow" because they are built upon the fan base coming to know the characters over years of invested time, not one movie.

Good CGI, everything else sucks:

- plot is boring (father dies, mother dies, earth is threatened, sons save the day)

- evil character is evil and as shallow as it can be; all characters very shallow incl. star trek oldies;

- racist and warmongering concepts:

- way too many last-second events defy laws of probability;

- physics laws often ignored;

- war subliminal concepts: enemies look like Middle Easterners (Israhell owns Hollywood)

I wish I watched any episode of the old TV series instead.
