i dont know why i cant perform this...

Even with my toe rubbing on the chain, my heel is a good 2-3 inches past the back of the pedal. So... can you demonstrate the "off the footboard" technique you speak of?
Thanks.

Great videos! Thanks for sharing

@leontiad Heel-toe tends to be used for quick doubles/triples on a single pedal, or strings of hits with a double pedal. A moeller approach, as I see it, tends to be for continuous notes with a single pedal. The best "Moeller" approach I have seen is what Jojo Mayer uses for his bass drum pedal.

@BartlesvilleGuy28 It's The Duck Grinder by Powerglove.

What is the difference between heel toe and moeller technique on the drum pedal? For mee it seems the same.
-
is every hit successful for you? cuz i try and to the same thing, but not every hit is successful.
-
I really dont get how the triplet works.
-
@DescentOfTheDead I agree, they are short and to the point, but heel-up is still far greater than heel-toe.

Is this music Powerglove?
hey nice slow motion, so is the motion what causes the first hit or is actually the heel?

The heel doesn't even need to touch the footboard for this technique to work. It's the motion I believe!
