This wonderful collection of Hogarths paintings and lithographs are cautionary tales even 4 modern men, abt sobriety, responsibility, duty and honour. WH was among the first to portray the working poor, exploited by miserly mill owners and bosses and ravaged by the horrors of cheap gin, freely available, Thomas Rakewell hasn't got a chance once the 'Underworld' gets hold of him. The Rake winds up in Gaol, then the Mental Asylum & finally the Cemetery is Hogarths anti-grog message to young men.
