A lovely old song which I sometimes close my club act with.

The song tells of the parting of a soldier and his sweetheart. According to Wikepedia, it was first heard in 1918 at a song contest in Detroit, where it took the top honours. The following year it recorded by Canadian singer, Henry Burr.

Hope you like my interpretation of the immortal "Till We Meet Again"

  • Omg . .I just googled the name David Williams and read that he died, very tragically .. in 2002 ... is the David Williams singing here the same one ?

  • @The1Bushman

There was a Dave Williams, from Princeton Texas. He sadly passed away August 14, 2002.

The voice you hear is not that guy, but just someone from the UK, who happens to share the same name.

I thank you for your kind comments and the sub, and I hope you continue to enjoy my music.

    Best Wishes - Dave

  • @The1Bushman I will keep enjoyin the fruits of yer labor. Ya really matched the song . .and the pictures well there. I would really like to be able to do that some day .. match some of my awesome landscape shots from this beautiful part of the world I was blessed to be born in .. to the song " God must be a cowboy at heart ' . .by Dan Seals ..

  • @MrNeelix690 - Howdy Dave and thanks fer the prompt reply, and info brother .. the one from Texas is knd of a bitter sweet story. I guess he was just comin into his own and startin to make a name . .had jus finished his 1st album when tragically died . .one of his greatest dreams apparently was to make enoug money to buy his father a house .. the sales of the album . .released after . .made enough to fulfill that dream 4 him. Yer welcome 4 the comments, Keep up the good work .. and I will keep

  • Thanks so much fer sharing yer marvellous and soothing voice with the world. I used to play and sing in a lil ol small town country band, our opening song was always 'Welcome to my world' that I learned from the great Jim Reeves version, and our closer was " The next time I'm in town " , have heard it done by a few most notably the also great Johnny Cash . .but my fav is by Chet Atkins , I would love ta hear you do that one :-)

  • Being an outdoors kinda guy and a wildlife/nature photographer (nickname and trade name is The Bushman) the pics in the video blew me away .. breathtaking !! And yer voice complimented not only the words in song . .but the peace, serenity and harmony of the natural world . All around, all star vid and one of the top ten fer sure in the thousands that I have viewed on here. Music is a big part of my world, and I regularly post fer my 3000+ contacts on Facebook. This one will be there in 5mins
