Series: Conversations with History [Public Affairs] [Humanities] [Show ID: 7137]
Indeed, Dr. Aleksandr Yakovlev is VERY highly respected. He died in 2005 but was the mentor of perestroika and glasnost for President Gorbachev. Good biography of Yakovlev written by Christopher Shulgan (2008), "The Soviet Ambassador: The Making of the Radical Behind Perestroika".
