Celluloid Dream by The Citizen Erased [AFI Cover]

This is a cover version of a song called "This Celluloid Dream" by A.F.I., I play it regularly for shows, however it won't be appearing on my album "Less Than Three" as it is not an original song.

I hope you enjoy my interpretation of the song, aswell as the video, which reflects the central ideas of the song of cinematic shots and all turning to grey, whilst telling the story of a lonely ghost.

I don't mean to sound like an asshole, I just wanted to offer my feedback. I hope it will be more constructive than most of these comments.

I personally don't think you're a bad singer, I think you're actually quite good.

But I think the problem with this vid is that people watched it expecting This Celluloid Dream by AFI. I understand putting your spin on the song, but you just made it a completely different song. As far as Im concerned this isn't this celluloid dream.

But I still liked it! :D

no no, thank you - i completely agree with you. i understand why AFI fans would be mad at it. Especially considering it's a much more punkier song than what i've done with it.

But I wanted to show it in a different light. Nonetheless, this was a year ago now, and my music style has moved on since then. Thanks for the feedback :)

@imustbeTINO i am a huge AFI song, i have every album. and i only found this song cuz i just searched celluloid dream.. but personaly i think davey havok would be impressed with your talent, and putting your own style on it makes it unique, and your just not copying their style u put your own into it. 5 stars.

while you do sing very well and I respect the fact that you tried to do something very different with the song I just don't see this song in particular slowed down this much. I think had you done this with a song like Ever and a day I feel like it would have gone better.

that being said, had this not been an attempt at my favorite afi song I would have considered it a great song because it is rather lulling.

i can hear some havok tones in there but youre off and that cheap reverb is annoying.
