This upload is not really for me, it is for the many fans of Elman who may not have heard this, personally I don't understand what all the hype is about Elman, I would rather hear Perlman or Oistrakh or even Kreisler (to name a few) ...but this is your chance to hear the legendary tone of Elman...

I have uploaded rare out of print and unreleased recordings that are difficult to find, I hope you like them.

In a modern conservatory, any teacher would dismiss this interpretation for 'not holding the phrases together', but this doesn't sound choppy either: the decays in the middle of the phrase are sighs. No one understands that nowadays.
