The Blue Maiden Chorus is an Australian, hand-made and loving take on the classic Boss® CE-1 Chorus, first seen in 1976. It uses the same topology and BBD technology as the original and also features some improvements.

I love the sound of this pedal and although it's been a long time since I've fired up an original CE-1, the Blue Maiden Chorus brings back some fond memories. It's easy to get lost in its sound and spend lots of indulgent time floating in it. I'll be hanging on to this one and using it more often, for sure. Great work, Justin!

This video was recorded in stereo with a HIWATT Custom 50 combo and a Laney VC50 combo, both set to super clean. The Strat is a circa 2004 Clapton Signature Strat that I've replaced the stock electronics and pickups with Brierley Burgerman Signature pickups. See http://www.brierleyguitarpickups.com.au/sig.htm for further info.

Thanks for watching.

  • $450...That has to be a joke.

  • I know it's a long shot asking this here but does anyone know of a pedal that sounds as good as this, runs stereo, but doesn't have that price tag?

  • Oh my goodness ... that stereo sound does all sorts of warm and fuzzy things to me. I need another amp and that pedal.

  • @AlexSongDoesCovers Nope, Aussie made, so charge what they like!

Just about anything here whether made here or imported is a rip off!

That WHY we often buy so much stuff o/s! Cheaper!

  • @Karinmakoto I do agree with you. For a >$400 pedal there is no excuse not to use metal film.

  • @Ombrenuit Yeah but you need precise and accurate resistance for clock drivers, it's just easier to use metal film instead of carbon

  • @Karinmakoto An average of 2.5% different, which probably is imperceptible to the ears!

  • its actually 450 drachmas, not USD. Burgs is a champ!

  • @Ombrenuit The thing is, with CC resistors they are around 5% tol. so that means every pedal sounds different

  • @Karinmakoto Doesn't sound noisy to my ears. But considering the price difference is like a 5% markup, there really is no excuse.

  • @MyEverConstantSmile but hes a god. haha :)
