The Lester B. Pearson school Board is elated to announce that on May 28th, in Ottawa, Bushra Sultana came first in her category (français, langue maternelle) at the concours d'art oratoire national and that she won a $20,000 scholarship to the University of Ottawa. The judges stated they were unanimous in their choice.
"She was absolutely fabulous, as always," said Martine Delsemme, Ph. D., Conseillère pédagogique for the board. "She delivered her speech a first time - in the morning - in front of the judges, and then a second time in front of the whole audience, in the afternoon. The whole ceremony was superb."
"There is no doubt that Bushra Sultana's exceptional ability will carry her far in the next stages of her academic studies. Her absolute bilingualism opens unlimited pathways throughout Canada and in the world.", stated Marcus Tabachnick, Chairman.
Robert T. Mills, Director General, wrote in a recent letter to Bushra, "Please accept our congratulations on your achievement, one that makes all of us here at your school board very proud of you. Your success is a tribute to you, to your family and to all of the teachers who have worked with you.
Best wishes for every continued success.
