A couple Amtrak Cascades Talgo cars I built. Thanks to Alex Stroshane and his perfect scale drawings, I was able to slap these together and paint them in no time! E-R Models made the base car set and the fins where created using .040 and .010 styrene. I have 9 cars for this train but at this time I ran out of 1/32 inch tape for the silver stripes.....

  • awesome video btw where did you get the talgo cars

  • Ebay! Basic 6 car set with a few add ons. I painted and added the fins.

  • Good job. 5++

My hat's off to people who roll up their sleaves and make their own models.

  • Thank you!!! Next up will be a pair of Mid South Paducahs that are almost ready for paint.

  • now all you need is that other engine

  • It's being built as we speak! I should have it done early next month.

  • Is there a reason why the model ones don't come with the fins on the end?

  • My version of Cascades. Search on Youtube:

Amtrak Cascades Talgo Train and F59PHi in HO - First trail run.

  • Sorry, forgot to say nice work! I play the bass too. Imagine that - trains and tunes by the both of us.

  • Where can a guy find these drawings you mentioned? I could really use them to convert my talgo cars.

  • @rocketdude1979 well that makes since, I would love to get some of this cars with the actual fins already on them lol might just have to do it myself some day, but I'm sure some day a company will make this cars in the right color schemes and the fins......i already own an engine with the color scheme and plan to buy some more

  • @WorldOfNothin The models were made for E-R by Electrotren and were esentially stock models painted like the finless Amtrak Demonstrator scheme from the late 80's early 90's (which ran all over the Nation). The set Amtrak had in demonstrator service was basically off the shelf European TALGO Train (just like E-R's model) was an off the shelf model. Amtrak, like the modeler here modified thier set to have the fins. I think E-R found it would be more cost advantageous to import w/o fins.

  • Awesome. Love that engine!

  • Nice!

  • PLEASE

A H0 Talgo together with an H0 EMD Class 66 (Mehano)!

    PLEASE

    What´s the problem?
