Saakashvili meets with US Senators in Washington

Georgian President attended the memorial service for Richard Holbrooke at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. on Friday.

Chair of the board of the Kennedy Center David Rubenstein opened the ceremony. He expressed his gratitude especially to Mikheil Saakashvili and all the invited guests for attending the memorial service.
Within the visit to Washington, teh Georgian leader also held meeting with U.S. senators.

Mikheil Saakashvili met with U.S. Senator from Indiana, member of Republican Party Richard Lugar and Senator Carl Levin, the head of the Armed Services Committee.

The meetings were held behind closed doors. In the discussions at the talks were raised all significant for Georgia issues. The two sides discussed also intensification of relations and cooperation between teh countries.
