Sequel to Summer Lovin': Jonas Edition (Chapter 3 Part 2)

[3 months ahead-Nick's birthday. I know it's a lot to skip but I'm running out of ideas here people. Haha.]

I sat in my room, deciding whether I should wear my black dress and grey leggings, or my favorite pair of skinny jeans and a t-shirt. I went with my skinny jeans and a pink shirt. I added my white heels with hoop earrings and a heart shaped necklace. I decided to straighten my hair which took about an hour. I put on my brand new mascara and a little bit of eye liner. I double checked that everything was perfect. I added a bit of lip gloss before I went downstairs. Nick's party was at a ballroom a few miles away. I was supposed to meet him there at 7. It was already 6:45. I grabbed my keys from my purse along with my cell phone. I got in my car and arrived at the ballroom a few minutes late. Nick was standing outside when I pulled into the parking lot. I walked over to him and gave him a big hug.

"Happy birthday baby!" I said, giving him a quick kiss. "Thanks babe. I really don't want to be here right now." he said, linking his fingers with mine. "Why not? It's your birthday! You have to be having fun." I said, pulling him in the direction of the doors. "No it's not that. I'm having a lot of fun. But...are you at all nervous about our future? I mean...I am 18 now..." Nick said, looking down at the ground. "Oh. Nick. Don't worry about it. If you're nervous, nothing has to happen." I said, unlinking our fingers. "No Josie. I want this more than anything. It's just...I'm afraid I'm going to be bad at it." Nick admitted, letting out a nervous laugh. "No worries. I'm a good teacher." I said with a wink before walking into the ballroom.

It was filled with tons of people and decorations. The music was blaring, I could feel the bass in my stomach. I went over to Joe who was having a bit to drink. I thought it best to stay away from alcohol, considering what happened last time. I looked for someone else I knew, I swore Nick invited people he didn't even know. I couldn't find a familiar face to save my life. I saw Kevin with Ellen. They seemed pretty close, in a 'more than friends' kind of way. I never did ask him if anything came out of his liking her. I assumed so now that they were making-out on the dance floor.

"Hey baby." Nick said, wrapping his arms around me. "Why hello there." I responded, giving him a kiss on his cheek. I could actually reach his face while I was in heels. Normally it was only his neck. "How come it doesn't look like you're having fun?" he asked, looking into my eyes. "I'm having fun. It's just I-" I said, before getting interrupted by Nick's lips on mine. "But you want to be having more fun...doing more interesting things." Nick said as he took my hand and led me upstairs.
