Pokémon Blue Kaizo | Cerulean Cave

Okay, here's the final video. You get to see Cerulean Cave for yourself, without the extra effort. I was intending to commentate on this, but unfortunately laziness isn't the only reason I don't commentate; for some reason I always get really nervous just thinking about doing it e_e. Guess I'm just not used to it :/ Mainly the reason Stadium's been delayed too.

That aside, Cerulean Cave has three things to be annoying. The first are the Wild Pokémon; they are composed of all of RBY's top threats at Level 100, which means you are forced to at the very least encounter them. Repels only work if the wild Pokémon are BELOW the lead Pokémon's level, and since yours is 100 at the max (unless you bring something from the Cinnabar coast along) it's impossible to avoid them. For the record, the encounter rate you see here isn't special to Cerulean Cave; it's in every area in the game.

The second are the ladders on the second floor. Some of them are now fake, which means you can just pass over them like any normal tile, all for the express purpose of tricking you. There are also false ladders; you do go down a floor when you step on them, but there's no ladder back up afterwards, so you'd have to go all the way back around again. I show you one of these on purpose, then accidentally step on one a second time.

On that note, I'm bumbling around like an idiot on the second floor. That one always confuses me, Kaizo or not.

The third is just the cave now contains many maze structures. The bottom floor isn't so bad, but the first and second floors are still as fffff as ever. Especially the first one.

As you saw at the start, I'd caught 149 of the 151 Pokémon. As far as I can tell, the only Pokémon not catchable outside of Cerulean Cave are Mewtwo, Mew and Alakazam. Mewtwo is obvious, but I haven't actually seen Mew at all. Judging by the PokéDex info, I'd wage that it's a rare encounter in Cerulean Cave, but I never saw one.

Anyway, that's Kaizo Blue done. Now hopefully I can move onto my rentals run of Stadium. Thank you to those who joined me in shitting themselves at certain things along the journey.

That was definitely an experience. Not one I want to repeat, but it was an experience.

@MrHaru666 1. I don't thinks so, again map changes and changing the slowpoke, so actually getting a mew using this trick is purely random, hopefully you don't get missingno.

@MrHaru666 Don't worry about that. After fixing the level 29 goldeen and horsea, I made sure to fix mewtwo's levels, shouldn't make a difference anyway given that you have a master ball.
