He's not actually an obsessive oppressor of women, he's making a commentary on jealousy. He's saying it's an irrational emotion that creates unrealistc desires... If you're a jealous guy, on the most basic level you just want a girl that will laugh for no one else blah blah blah... What River's is saying is that girl doesn't exist. There's not a single female on the entire planet like the one he's describing in this song. There's always gonna be other people in your gf's life... i think anyways.
