Minecraft One Kilometer Rail - Achievement Get

I extended my earlier rail so that it goes at least one kilometer from my home base - as the crow flies. The actual ride is now about 1.7 kilometers along the rail, taking nearly half a day. Watch out for obstructions on the track when rolling at night!

How long did it take to build the bridges, ramps and track underlay? I'm assuming "half a day" you mean in game.

Good effort btw, just started playing and i was hoping that 100 blocks = 1000 meters but alas ... no.

I've probably put in five real hours on just the rail-related building activity. Even after getting the achievement, I'm extending it!

Your unique world will have all sorts of fun surprises as you explore. There's something pretty about mining your way into a grotto with waterfalls and lavafalls, or about finding an epic mountain view just past the next pond.

An adult human is usually under two meters tall. That makes it plain that the blocks in Minecraft are one meter cubes.

Great job. Before achievements were added, I was making a huge minecart track around the entirety of my island, but I guess I need to make a bigger one considering how small my island is.

But I digress,
