Wow, this is stupid, their subway cars,not ships! If their in good condition, put 5 or 6 cars connected together in central park for the kids to play on. make them child safe or make a museum, not sink them! all them idiots at MTA are environmentalists, eco green shit, probaly took them out of service because they weren't environmentaly efficent! I would buy a few for display or to keep in my backyard. What are they going to sink next? buses, taxis? fucken idiots, I swear!

@ACLTony It would have been so easy to retrofit these with newer seating, airconditioning and electronic whatever; yet as usual these boneheads in power just scrap them all. Here in Australia, they did a similar thing to a commuter train they call the Prospector. 7 diesel railcars, two unpowered railcars, whom faithfully served for 45 years. All bar two were cut up for scrap. The Australian navy decommissions warships by turning them int dive wrecks much like these railcars. Stripped down
