  • This says it all. And today, John got the endorsement from the Steelworkers AND the Carpenters and Joint Fitters. As well he should.

  • The reason that our corporations are hurt by global competition is that the current labor and environmental restrictions make it impossible to offer the product at a competitive price. There was a time and a place for labor unions, but the pedulum has swung too far in that direction.

I know that alot of people hate the evil corporations and that nasty word "profit," but without the company, there is no job. Poor people don't create jobs.

  • I am liking Edwards more and more...

  • WASHINGTON, Aug. 30 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The United Brotherhood of Carpenters announced today that it will endorse Senator John Edwards in the Democratic Presidential Primary. "Our endorsement is based on the Senator's outspoken support for all of organized labor and his focus on America's working families," said Carpenters President Douglas J. McCarron.

  • Watch what you wish for you just might get it!

  • Great video! I find the edited shifts in perspective of him standing at the podium distracting, though -- I'd personally prefer one static shot of him, intercut with the footage of the workers. I guess it adds energy, but it's just not my personal taste.

  • Go, John! You've got my vote. :)

  • Go Edwards! John Edwards to 2008!
