Iguana body language and eating

My five year old iguana bobbing his head telling me to "GTFO!!" - It's christmas and his christmas mood is driven by a large hormone overdose that accompanies his mating season.
Elli died in mid-April 2010, he will be dearly missed. :(

hey man i have a iguana about 2 maybe 2 n a half foot long with tail ... scared and mean when u try to pick him up outta the tank .. im not sure if its male or female either .. but when i first got him a couple of weeks ago he wasnt as mean like just got pissed outta the blue.... another question tooo can somebody please tell me the name of this song...

@andytheiguana It could be mating season for your little dude - It varies a bit between individuals and origins, but usually it's around october - march. During this time male iguanas can get ill tempered and extremely protective of their turf. It will hopefully pass soon, but some iguanas stay in season longer than others. You could try to give him a "Toy" to mate with, a pair of green socks rolled up may work. Oh, and the songs are Tourmaline and Snæfellsjökull, Google: Last FM Alliat

@vjdthird The ultimate cause was dehydration which set in because I wasn't paying enough attention, but the reason why he suddenly stopped drinking is unknown.

While renovating my apartment and clearing the room he was in I discovered in one corner where the desk used to sit pretty nasty humidity damage, a pipe had ruptured inside the wall and leaked. The paint had bloated and when we scraped the paint off there was some nasty fungus underneath which can cause illness after prolonged exposures.

Sorry to hear about your iguana he had some really great coloration, looked like a real bad ass none of my recent ones have displayed that kind of behavior although my green iguana does something strange at times check out my video on my page it's called Iguanas and water dragons. Let me know what you think he/ she is doing.

i had an iguana before but when i got home from skool it was dead n was getting black dots i have no idea y or how it died
