Visit http://www.TippOff.com to buy the track or donate. The song is performed by Peter Coughlan who is also a member of the famous London Based group Hungry Grass. We would like to express our great appreciation to the members of the Hungry Grass who also played, John Gaughan on Bass, Kane O'Rourke on Fiddle and Whistle and Christian Vaughan on Piano Accordian. Chris Cormac a well-known Bluegrass player based in the UK played African Congas and Djembe. More footage of Hungry Grass can be found on YouTube.
The lyrics were composed by Cornelius Ryan who also plays the Bouzouki on the track. The air is from an old emigration song from Ireland made famous in the early seventies by Johnny McEvoy. Other members of the band are Tom Lawlor on Accordian, Jim Lawlor on Flute, Justin Rogers on Uilleann Pipes and Martin Slattery on Banjo.
The Barack Obama Reel was especially composed by Brian Morrissey who was responsible for the arrangements. He also plays Percussion, Banjo and Whistle.
Our thanks to all who made this possible and give generously as it is for a good cause.
