Performed by the North Texas Wind Symphony

Another amazing piece by Frank Ticheli :) Blue Shades is a fun jazzy piece that is great for any wind band!

  • Second horn part is so boring and not fun. Unfortunately, I'm not a fan of this piece.

  • @thatwongal same =] the solo is so sexy haha

  • @choji98 YESSS!!!

  • @crazies78 best instrument ever !!!

  • @thatwongal omg there are notes that should never be written for bass clarinet in this piece lol stupid high Db

  • @thatwongal they could have a contrabass in this recording as well as a reg bass

  • I love measures 185 to 228, personally my favorite chunk of the piece. And then there's the Clarinet solo :D

  • @choji98 Thats the exact thing I was thinking!

  • @ProfBlahson1

    Rock that solo, bro!

Hella keyboard percussion/vibraslap/ratchet/gong/running around frantically :D

  • I'm playing Bass Clarinet in this piece for our highschool band.. It's pretty intense. And no, it is not a Contra Bass Clarinet. :( I wish though. But yeah, pretty amazing song!!
