The USA could conceivably blow any terrorist group or Middle Eastern country out of the water (and I say that unenthusiastically as a non-interventionist). You do realize Clinton killed millions of Middle Eastern children in 1998 in a bombing of Iraq without Congressional approval, right? Bin Laden said that type of US genocide is one of the factors that led him to plan the 9/11 attacks.

Raimondo is a dickhole. He (and other peaceniks) carry on how Al Qaeda and other terrorist groups wouldn't exist but for American policy... but Al Qaeda itself has declared that its mission is to install an Islamist theocracy throughout the Mid East, if not the world. I'd love to see how long assholes like Raimondo would last if the mullahs succeed in turning the world into one big nazi-islamist state.

You mean how Ms. Glaspie stated that the U.S. did not intend to start an economic war against Iraq? Doesn't seem like a patent "green light" to me.
